Please join us for a very special event to celebrate five years of service to our renter communities. The Montgomery County Renters Alliance, Inc.– the first and only regional nonprofit exclusively dedicated to providing renter education, outreach and advocacy — cordially invites you to attend our first annual benefit, Thursday, December 3 from 6:30 p.m.-11 p.m. at the Fillmore, 8656 Colesville Road in downtown Silver Spring.
We’re building for the future that includes, stable, healthy rental communities, and we need your help and financial support to stand up for more than one-third of your neighbors who face retaliation for asking for promised or required services and maintenance or are at risk of losing their homes by being priced out with excessive rent increases or eviction without cause
every year.
The Montgomery County Renters Alliance is an independent, nonprofit organization advancing renters rights and security. We provide support for renters on a range of issues, such as forming tenant associations, improving renter-landlord relations and mediating disputes, educating landlords and tenants of their rights and responsibilities, and promoting policies the protect fair and predictable rent increases. We also advocate for just-cause eviction laws and for greater support from the county and state governments.
